"It's been a while since I've heard new music that I immediately liked. The last two bands I latched onto this quickly were the White Stripes and Modest Mouse. I now have another one. Los Angeles based Arrica Rose and the Dot, Dot, Dot's have recently released their first full-length CD, People Like Us. It's a 12-song effort filled with poetry disguised as lyrics and music with a country/blues/bluegrass/rock sound. Rose's voice sounds strangely familiar but different, too. The Thais have a saying for this, 'Same same, but different.' If I was forced to come up with a description I would say her voice falls somewhere in between Edie Brickell and Amie Mann. Her song writing ability, though, reminds me of Bob Dylan, where the songs could be poems if the music was stripped away."Corey Russell DAILY SUN read entire article

"Rose is clearly a talented musician who is in control of her gifts. Her voice has the ability to make your heart stop."-Beren Huett, PERFORMER MAGAZINE

"The magnetic appeal is Arrica’s voice, the heretofore mentioned smoky, evocative sounds of Karen Carpenter, had Carpenter been allowed to play edgier music...Comparisons aside, Arrica Rose and the. . .’s have their own distinct sound, and Arrica has her own significant voice." Crystal Kline, TULSA TODAY read entire article

"The Los Angeles-based indie rock band Arrica Rose and the dot dot dots (or, more accurately, Arrica Rose and the 0xc9s), a nicely raw, honest and punchy band whose sound is a mix of rock, folk and pop with some alt-country seasoning"..."Rose is a tall drink of water and a strong vocal presence at the forefront of her four-piece band. Often, her songs -- many of which were from her latest album, "People Like Us," brood and fester in the verses and break open in the choruses, a coiling emotional strategy also evident in her approach to singing her tunes. She likes moody minor-mode songs and a post-punkabilly and neo-new wave style, sometimes reminiscent of the Motels or the Divinyls. That '80s sound seems ripe for a reprise in the cyclical nature of pop fashion."
Joe Woodward, SANTA BARBARA NEWS AND PRESS

"Arrica Rose is a totally amazing artist...she does possess the peculiar and particular something that great artists possess..." -A.J Charron, GUITAR NOISE

"You know the old saw 'she could sing the phonebook'? Arrica Rose has one of those voices. I don't know how old Ms. Rose is, but her molasses-sweet slightly rasping croon has more than 20-odd years of pain in it." -Sarah Zachrich, SPLENDID MAGAZINE

"Arrica Rose has a delicious voice. There is no other way to describe it. She?s also got some very intriguing and mysterious lyrics that keep us coming back for more. Listen and see for yourself. If we get a chance to see her live, her voice just may break our hearts."-RadioMike, LIVE365
